Athens and The Peloponnese

3* 18 Micon Athens Bed and Breakfast

After arriving in Athens, there will be a booked Private transfer to take you to 18 Micon, your hotel for 3 nights.  This time can be filled with Cultural tours of the Acropolis, Parthenon as well as many other incredible sites. Athens is a large vibrant city with great food and plenty to see.

About Athens and The Peloponnese +

Athens is the capital city of Greece and one of the oldest cities in the world. It is full of history, culture, and beautiful old buildings. If you love learning about the past and seeing ancient places, Athens is a great place to visit.

The main sight to see in Athens is the Acropolis. This is a large hill in the middle of the city with old temples on top. The most famous temple there is the Parthenon, which was built more than 2,000 years ago to honour the goddess Athena. From the top of the Acropolis, you can see the whole city.

Other places worth visiting include the Ancient Agora, where people used to gather in old times to shop and talk. The Temple of Olympian Zeus is also very impressive, even though only some of the big columns are still standing. You can also visit the Acropolis Museum and the National Archaeological Museum to see statues, jewellery, and other things found in ancient ruins. A walk around Plaka, the old neighbourhood near the Acropolis, is also very nice, with narrow streets, small shops, and cafes.

The best time to visit Athens is in spring (April to early June) or autumn (September to October). During these times, the weather is warm but not too hot, and there are fewer tourists, so it is easier to enjoy the sights. The summer months (July and August) can be very hot, often over 35°C, and the city can be crowded. That makes walking around less comfortable. In winter, Athens is quieter and cheaper, but some days can be rainy and a bit cold.

Karpathos

5* Alimounda Mare Bed and Breakfast

After taking the flight from Athens to Karpathos, pick up your car with Hertz at the airport for the 20 minute drive upto Karpathos Town for a 7 night stay at the 5* Alimounda Mare.

Windsurfing and Foiling takes place in Chicken Bay or Gun Bay depending on your level - this is a leisurely drive of 20 minutes each day (worth it just for the coastal views!!)

About Karpathos +

Despite all the economic turmoil of recent years, Greece remains, in the summer months, one of the most popular destinations in southern Europe. In addition to the mainland, the Greek islands pull many tourists into their spell. The seemingly countless beautiful beaches as well as the many ancient sites strengthens their appeal. A trip to the land of the Gods is also worthwhile for windsurfers and kite surfers, since the Meltemi regularly provides wind throughout the summer.

Deserted beaches, idyllic mountain villages and cozy tavernas - this is Karpathos. The charm of the island is her virginity and originality. Karpathos is located on the eastern South Aegean island arc and is 46 km north-east of Rhodes. For many years, Karpathos has been a destination magnet for windsurfers returning year after year, thanks to the wind record. Come in summertime and you'll find everything surfers hearts wish for! The island stretches between Rhodes and Crete, and the Meltemi blows from the north through the high mountains.
