The Temperature In The Open Sea Hovers Above 22°C From June To November, Climbing To 28°C In August. During The Three Coolest Months Of January To March, Average Sea Temperature Is Still An Acceptable 16° Or 17°C. There Are No Significant Daily Fluctuations In Sea Water Temperatures, Except In Very Shallow Waters Less Than One metre Deep.
Wind And Sea State
In Broad Lines Cyprus’s Wind Is characterised By two Seasons: Steady Southwest Sea Breeze In The Summer Averaging 16knots 5 To 6 Days Per Week, And Wind Variable In Strength, Frequency And Direction During The Winter. Sea State Ranges From Flat With The Occasional Little Waves In The Summer To Small Chop And Double Head High Waves In The Winter.
