Did you know...
The number of tourists visiting Greece each year outway the total population of the country. The capital city of Athens is one of Europe's oldest city and the birthplace of democracy. Not surprisingly, Greece is the planet's third-leading producer of olives and around 7% of the world's marble comes from Greece.

The expanse of Paleokastro lies approximately 3 hours by car from the airport on the far North Easterly point of Crete. The drive takes you through some stunning scenery along the Northern coast line with the most dramatic views through the winding roads of Eastern Crete. The Journey is rewarded by a part of Greece that is devoid of mass tourism, Some would say this is the Greece of 20 year ago.
Our lasting impression of Crete was the incredible kindness and friendliness of the locals and the unspoiled natural feel of the resort. This is a perfect location for a relaxing windsurfing holiday, with very reliable strong wind in the afternoons, and flat water conditions for all levels.
Rhodes island is the second largest of the Greek islands and has long been a very popular summer sun holiday destination with Northern Europeans so there are lots of flights from many regional airports. Rhodes Town in the North of the island is a mixture of historical buildings, cobbled small streets lined with shops, cafes and restaurants, as well as having buzzing nightlife if you want it. Rhodes can be a little bucket and spade in places but also has considerable charm and character.
Leading southwards from Rhodes Town is a long stretch of hotel lined beaches, including Ialysos where the best windsurfing is and a brilliant windsurf centre. Within walking distance of the windsurf location there are a number of good hotels as well as some superb luxury hotel just a short drive or taxi ride away. This makes Rhodes a great place for a short haul family windsurf holiday as well as a more focused pure windsurf trip.
Samos is often affectionately referred to as the Emerald of the Aegean and as soon as you arrive there you will understand why. Two mountain formations cover the greatest part of the island, with acres of forests, vineyards and olive groves overlooking the aqua blue Aegean Sea. Dirt roads in the highlands, inland water springs, caves and demanding routes in the mountains are what make Samos a top destination for mountain bikers, trekkers, climbers and runners alike, with guided tours available in abundance. Fortunately, Samos has been spared the excesses of Greek tourism.
The courteous and hard working locals are proud of their traditions and Island, and still embrace them today. In this way Samos manages to maintain a real authenticity which nowadays can be increasingly hard to find.
The windsurf centre is located in Kokkari on the Northern coast of Samos. The Meltemi blows side shore from the left here creating some really sweet freeride conditions. On top of this the mountainous backdrop gives way to a regular afternoon thermal. The transfer time from the airport is just 20 minutes. The village of Kokkari is only 5 minutes walk from the center and is home to the most picturesque fishing harbour on Samos.
All you may need is here; car rental, internet, cash dispensers, pharmacy, chic boutiques, fresh fish and traditional home cooking tavernas and a waterfront promenade where you can sit and sip cocktails while the world goes by.
Despite all the economic turmoil of recent years, Greece remains, in the summer months, one of the most popular destinations in southern Europe. In addition to the mainland, the Greek islands pull many tourists into their spell. The seemingly countless beautiful beaches as well as the many ancient sites strengthens their appeal. A trip to the land of the Gods is also worthwhile for windsurfers and kite surfers, since the Meltemi regularly provides wind throughout the summer.
Deserted beaches, idyllic mountain villages and cozy tavernas - this is Karpathos. The charm of the island is her virginity and originality. Karpathos is located on the eastern South Aegean island arc and is 46 km north-east of Rhodes. For many years, Karpathos has been a destination magnet for windsurfers returning year after year, thanks to the wind record. Come in summertime and you'll find everything surfers hearts wish for! The island stretches between Rhodes and Crete, and the Meltemi blows from the north through the high mountains.
The resort of Marmari sits on the North West coast of the Island of Kos in Greece; an island well known for it's super reliable wind conditions in the summer months. Kos is a superb destination for a Mediterranean windsurf holiday as it offers a short direct flight from many European airports, plus an easy transfer to your hotel. Kos has a selection of both medium category hotels to very luxurious properties, which are all very close to the Marmari Windsurf centre. This windsurf resort in Kos is therefore one of the few resorts where we can accommodate that rare combination of world class windsurfing and luxury accommodation.
Discover unspoilt Lemnos, with its beautiful beaches and traditional villages set away from the mass tourism of other Greek islands. Chill out in the evenings with the locals, enjoying the warm ambience of Greek taverns which serve delicious traditional cuisine. The flight to Limnos takes just 2-3 hours from most major European cities while the island can also be reached via ferry, making it an easily accessible holiday destination.
Lemnos is a lovely Greek Island, positioned in the northern part of the Aegean Sea. Lemnos is the 8th largest island of Greece, spreading over 477 square metres. Its main city and seat of the municipality is Myrina which has a harbour and is a trade centre. On the island are to be found approximately 30 villages and settlements, as well as the only desert in Europe. The island of Lemnos has preserved itself from the mass tourism and today it is a safe, friendly and quiet place. The locals are very hospitable and the natural surroundings are simple and pleasant. The island is ideal for family vacations and for relaxation on the beach.
