Windsurf, and the Dutch Antilles you'd hate to miss

If you are going on a holiday to any of the Dutch Antilles Islands, including Bonaire, flying from Europe, you will most likely be travelling via Amsterdam. It is very easy for us to incorporate a stop in this marvellous city, perhaps for 2 - 3 nights. Most clients prefer to do this on the return journey, but either way is possible. We have a range of beautiful 4 and 5-star properties in the city to choose from, all very carefully selected.

Bonaire

4* Sorobon Luxury Beach Resort Breakfast

The Sorobon Luxury Beach Resort is one of our top properties in Bonaire. It has seen significant investment recently (under new ownership), and provides one of the best overall experiences on the island. It is situated on Lac Bay, the best Windsurf spot on the island, but it also has a Scuba Diving centre, plus easy access to the nearby Pink Beach for Kitesurfing.

About Bonaire +

Just to say thanks so much with your help with the trip to Bonaire. It was fab - both the windsurfing and the beach resort. Can't believe I was nearly put off of going there since someone I knew had been negative about it! I thought it was absolutely lovely there - super chilled and lovely windsurfing conditions, with decent wind every day. Fabulous!

Amsterdam

4* Kimpton De Witt Amsterdam Breakfast

On your return flight to Europe, you will have a 3-night stop in the superb city of Amsterdam. We will include a half-day private guided city tour by bike, to get an overview of the best places to visit, then you are free to explore at will.

About Amsterdam +
Amsterdam is a popular city for tourists, and it is known for its beautiful canals, old buildings, and friendly atmosphere. It is the capital of the Netherlands and has a lot to offer visitors who enjoy history, culture, and a relaxed way of life.

One of the main sights in Amsterdam is the Anne Frank House, where you can learn about the life of Anne Frank during World War II. Many people also visit the Van Gogh Museum, which shows the famous painter’s works, and the Rijksmuseum, where you can see Dutch art and history. The Royal Palace in Dam Square is another interesting place to see, especially if you like old buildings. Tourists also enjoy walking or cycling along the canals, which give the city a special charm. A visit to the Vondelpark is perfect if you want a peaceful break from sightseeing. For something different, you can explore the Albert Cuyp Market, try local food, or take a boat tour through the canals.

The best time to visit Amsterdam is spring (April to May) or early autumn (September). In spring, you can see the famous Dutch tulips in bloom, and the weather is usually mild and pleasant. Autumn can also be nice, with fewer tourists and pretty colours in the parks. Summer (June to August) is warm and lively, but it can be very busy and expensive. Winter (December to February) is much quieter, but it can be cold, grey, and rainy, so it's not always the best time for walking or cycling around the city.

Amsterdam is a lovely city to explore, with a mix of history, art, and a relaxed vibe. Just choose the right time of year based on what you enjoy most.
