Why we rate this centre

This is a really great windsurf and wing foiling centre in Langebaan, with friendly service and atmosphere, right on the very best spot on the lagoon. There is an impressive shop leading out to the rental area and then onto a great grass area to rig on and also a place to sunbathe out of the wind for the family. There is a great lookout platform and restaurant where you can see a great deal of the lagoon and watch all the action.

The windsurf center has reasonable stock of recent boards and sails to satisfy most windsurfer enthusiasts, but this centre does not have huge number of the newest high tech gear. A good range of Sea Kayaks and paddle boards are also available for rental, which is very popular on the lagoon for the rare no wind days.

This must be one of the best flat water windsurf and wing foiling location in the world! The centre is based a 10 minute stroll away from the main kitesurf area, so this spot is mainly for wing and windsurf only.

If you are a Wing Foiler, or what to learn to Wing Foil, it really does not get much easier than Langebaan Lagoon! The centre has a good range of Fanatic WingFoil boards and Levitas Wings. Lessons are carried out directly in front of the centre in near perfect flat water conditions.

Daily rental of boards, rig and sails. Most centres will 'fix' your ideal board size to ensure availability, but you have access to all available equipment. It is important to pre-book your windsurf rental as part of your holiday to be sure of availability, especially over the high season periods. Rental can only be used on consecutive days. Please note that local prices can be significantly more expensive than pre-booked prices.

  • Rental can only be used on consecutive days.
  • In the case of no wind, most centers will allow you to use other sports equipment, such as: SUP and Surf boards.
  • Equipment insurance NOT included. Please check your travel insurance, or most centres will offer a local insurance (approx Euro 45/ week)

    For windsurf rental of equipment, you may be required to produce a VDWS/IKO/RYA or equivalent licence to prove your ability to rent (For Egypt this is mandatory, and if unable to provide you will need to do a skills test and pay for a licence locally)
