Windsurfing and Wing Foiling in Porto Pollo - Porto Pollo is widely regarded as one of the best windsurfing and wing foiling destinations in the Mediterranean, offering a fantastic combination of reliable wind, accessible beaches and excellent learning conditions. The western bay features a wide sandy beach, easy access to the water and generally flat to moderately choppy conditions. With a sandy seabed and no significant reef hazards in the main teaching area, it is particularly well suited to beginners taking their first lessons. More experienced windsurfers and wing foilers will also find plenty to enjoy, with excellent opportunities for freeriding, improving technique and progressing to more advanced manoeuvres.

The natural Venturi effect between Sardinia and Corsica helps accelerate the prevailing winds, creating particularly reliable conditions throughout much of the season.

Wind Conditions and Best Time to Visit Porto Pollo - The main watersports season in Porto Pollo runs from Easter through to mid-November, with the most popular months generally falling between May and September. The area benefits from both the north-westerly Mistral and easterly winds, which are enhanced by the geographical position of Sardinia and nearby Corsica. This natural wind acceleration helps make Porto Pollo one of the Mediterranean's more reliable windsurfing and wing foiling locations. During the summer months, warm temperatures, long sunny days and regular windy conditions create an excellent environment for watersports holidays. A lot of kiters who have mastered the twin tip or surfboard and looking for a new challenge and want the ultimate feeling of floating and gliding over the water, this is it! The great thing about riding the Hydrofoil is its massive wind range, a 10m kite will get you up riding in 12knots or less, and keep riding well into 20 knots.

Kitesurfing Lessons with a personal instructor gives you the opportunity to have a 2-on-1 interaction with your instructor to help you learn at a pace that is driven by you. The Learn To Kitesurf course aims to get you riding, while also teaching you how to read the conditions and utilise your equipment safely and correctly.

You will start with the basics; this includes setup of your equipment, safety features that you will utilise and how to fly a small 2metre trainer kite. When your instructor feels you are ready you can then head to the water. On day one you will only be using the kite and not go on the board just yet. Entering the water is when the fun starts! Here you will be taught how to properly fly an inflatable kitesurfing kite, how to control your kite and what to do if you crash it in the water. On day one you will be comfortable flying the kite and know what to do in any situation.

The range of equipment will vary from each different kitesurf school, so sometimes the exact kite size may not be available. Kitesurf rental packages are great if you want to experiment with different types of equipment before you decide to invest in your own, or if you just don't want toe hassle of taking your own equipment.

The quality of kitesurf rental equipment will vary from each different sport centre. Take a look at the sport centre details for more information on this. if you are not sure then you can always call us. We only work with the best kitesurf centres in each resort and do our best to visit every centre we offer.

The latest addition to the world of wind-powered watersports, wing foiling allows you to quickly and safely fly over the water.

Your introduction to wing foiling will start with a short theory lesson in which you will learn how to carry the wing, steer it, and turn it to catch the wind. You will then go into the water fully equipped with a wetsuit, life jacket, wing, and a large surfboard. The next step is to refine your handling of the wing on the water as you learn to surf for the first time in light wind on smooth water. As you make progress, you will be able to surf independently.

After you have learned the basics of handling the wing, you can move on to mastering the foil which gives that wonderful feeling of flying silently over the water. With the support of a speed boat, you can enjoy foiling for the first time without the wing or wind. This will help you to learn how to stabilize the board. Finally, you will put all the steps together as you learn how to handle and control the wing on the foil board. You will soon be flying, driven by the wind, without a motor and almost no noise, feeling very light and almost weightless. Now you're a wingfoil surfer!
