With more than 30 years of experience in the Bay of Ialyssos, the ProCenter will add the expected magic to your holidays. The three centres are located directly on the beach with a constant side-shore wind presenting opportunities for every level of experience.
Location - The 3 windsurfing centres are located in the heart of Ialyssos, a pleasant area with adjoining village with a lovely traditional “Platia” only 15 minutes from the city of Rhodes. With bustling shopping streets, nightlife, many quaint and quiet corners, traditional tavernas, restaurants, a lovely seaside promenade and more. All amenities can be found in easy walking distance.
Two of the centers are situated directly in front of the 4* hotel Blue Horizon Hotel
Center 3 is located across the “Surfhaus” next to an old windmill only a five minute walk on the beach. The wind is less powerful there, providing better conditions for beginners, adults and children alike or everyone enjoying a quieter spot to sail.
The Team - the team will welcome you upon your arrival at the centre of your choice. You will be ready to surf after a short introduction and orientation.
The best service possible is the goal! The team is carefully chosen and instructed to provide you with all relevant information to help you enjoy our amazing sport. Additionally, they are always there for you to help you advance your skills during your stay. Choosing the right equipment can always be a challenge though. Trust the team to help you in your decision making.
Safety - Baywatch towers and 2 power boats supplement our security measures. The Bay of Ialyssos with its light on-shore current and a side-shore wind allow for safe session for beginners and advanced surfers alike.
ProCenter 1 – The Base
The Pro Center 1 at the Blue Horizon is stored with more than 180 surfboards from Duotone, Tabou and JP Australia in standard, high-tech and premium edition with more than 200 rigs from Duotone, Gaastra, Neilpryde and Severne.
The sails range start with the size of 3.4 m2 up to 8.2 m2 and are all equipped with Carbon mast between 80% and 100%. Depending on the wind conditions the sails can be changed during the whole day at our sail preparation site.
In the standard line, clients can use boards from Duotone Standard & HRS, Tabou CED and JP ES including Duotone and Gaastra sails. ? The High-tech line includes boards from Duotone LTD and Team edition and Tabou LTD with Neilpryde sails and camber slalom series.The Premium line will give access to everything, including Tabou Team boards and JP LXT and Pro edition with Severne sails and additionally a carbon boom. We advise our guests to bring their own wetsuits and harnesses, but we also offer rental of wetsuits and harnesses at our surf centers
ProCenter 2
ProCenter 2 is for those who want to bring their own kit. The personal equipment storage center is on the left side of the Blue Horizon Hotel, in the palm tree garden with beach access. It is just 30 meters from the sea with an area to wash off your sails and boards.
ProCenter 3 – The Windmill
The Windmill Centre is a friendly and familiar windsurf center that offers the best conditions to learn windsurfing and to improve advanced skills as well.
At the Windmill Centre children are able to learn windsurfing and have fun at the same time. The newest equipment especially designed for children will offer them from day one a great experience of windsurfing.
The Windmill Centre is equipped with 45 surfboards from Tabou. We offer all types of surfboards and a variety of sails from beginners up to Wave, Freestyle and Freeride surfers. Besides the boards, we have 50 Gaastra sails in size from 1.0 m2 up to 7.8 m2 rigged with original Carbon Masts of 75% minimum.
Wing & Wind Foiling
Since 2018, the centre has been offering professional wind-foil rental and instruction, backed by a fleet of 10 high-quality foil setups from Fanatic, JP, and Starboard. With years of hands-on experience, the team is fully prepared to deliver expert lessons and on-water assistance for all levels.
Building on this, the centre expanded into wing foiling in 2020 and now boasts one of the most extensive equipment ranges in the region. Riders will find more than 40 complete wing foil sets from Tabou–Gaastra, Duotone, Neilpryde, and JP, with every size of board, foil, and wing available.
The local conditions make this an exceptional spot for both disciplines. Mornings typically offer calm, flat water, ideal for beginners taking their first flights, while afternoons bring reliable side-shore winds, perfect for more advanced riders looking to carve, glide, and progress using smaller, higher-performance equipment.
Whether guests are new to foiling or refining their skills, the centre provides the ideal combination of premium gear, expert coaching, and consistently reliable conditions.
