Chamarel Lodge Overview

A 20-minute drive from Le Morne this stunning boutique property is surrounded by the natural park of the Black River Gorges, a protected natural heritage site. In this region, the World Wild Life Society has managed to save a number of species from extinction like the kestrel, the pink pigeon, and the green parrot.

The Rooms At Chamarel Lodge

The Chamarel Lodge includes the main building with its reception, lounges, TV room and library, bar and the dining room and its terraces where meals are served. The kitchen is open and welcomes the guests who want to learn the recipes from the Chef!

Scattered around the main building, each of the 20 rooms and suites have a different decoration representing the diversity of different cultures on the Island. Each room features an ethnic influence in its furniture and its decoration: China, Africa, India, or simply tropical. The wood, the slate, the beams, the terra cotta, the ton ochre, beige and rust typically confer to a Mauritian charm.
