VOI Praia de Chaves is a relaxed, all-inclusive beach resort set directly on Boa Vista’s sweeping Praia de Chaves. It suits couples and families who want an easy, sun-drenched escape with a broad sandy beach, dependable trade-wind breezes and low-key entertainment. The feel is spacious and friendly rather than glitzy; days centre on the beach, two sea-water pools and the spa, with simple evenings of shows and live music. Double Basic Room is a compact, modern space for up to two guests, starting from 27 square metres, with a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer and either a terrace or balcony. It’s a good value base for couples who plan to spend most time outdoors.

Classic Room keeps the same calming beach-toned style but allows up to three guests in 27 square metres. These rooms add a furnished terrace and the same in-room comforts as the Basic category.

Rooms with a View of the Sea or Partial Sea View are bright double or triple rooms with a balcony facing the Atlantic, from 27 square metres. They suit guests who want that daily ocean horizon without stepping up to the premium categories.

Superior Rooms with a View of the Sea are double or triple rooms from 28 square metres. They add a larger terrace with a deck chair positioned for Praia de Chaves sunsets and sunrises.

Family Room offers two distinct sleeping areas and a terrace, designed for up to three adults and one child, from 32 square metres, with a shower bathroom and all the resort’s standard amenities.

Family Room with Sea View adds the frontal beach aspect and more space, from 39 square metres, still with two separate areas for privacy, plus a shower bathroom.

Superior Family Room with Sea View is the largest family category, from 40 square metres, sleeping up to three adults and one child, with a fully equipped balcony facing the ocean and two distinct internal areas.

Suite is the most spacious option at a minimum of 61 square metres. It has two bedrooms and two shower bathrooms and accommodates up to four adults and two children, making it the best choice for larger families who want real elbow-room.

Around the resort you have a wide, serviced section of Praia de Chaves with sunbeds, parasols and towel service by deposit. Inland from the beach are two sea-water swimming pools: a panoramic main pool sunk into the deck with Atlantic views, plus a dedicated children’s pool beside a broad solarium furnished with loungers and umbrellas.

Dining revolves around a central buffet restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with international choices and theme corners, including an Italian section. A reservation-only gourmet restaurant operates on select evenings with a set tasting menu and a smart-casual dress code; long trousers are generally requested for men at dinner. Guests also have a beach bar and pool bar for drinks and light fare, and additional bars around the theatre and main areas. Typical buffet opening times are breakfast 07:30–10:00, lunch 12:30–14:30 and dinner 19:00–21:30.

Wellness facilities include a spa with sauna, Turkish bath and Jacuzzi, plus a menu of massages and beauty treatments. There is also an adults-only private wellness pool that extends from inside the spa to an outdoor section.

Active guests have a broad choice of sports and classes. On site you will find courts for padel and pickleball, tennis and bocce, a small football pitch, and areas for archery and darts. An open-air fitness area hosts fitness and water-fitness sessions. A diving centre is available for a fee about ten minutes from the hotel, and you can expect beach volleyball on the sand. The resort’s programme includes daytime games, group courses, dance and gentle tournaments, with evening aperitifs, beach parties and stage shows.

Families are well catered for with a free kids’ club and a supervised children’s pool. Typical resort schedules include morning and afternoon sessions and a mini-disco in the early evening; exact times can vary by season.
