The Pousada Villa Kalango is nestled in a 5000m² tropic garden, surrounded by coconut and cashew nut trees. This beautiful place is located right behind a sand dune at the beach of Jericoacoara. The closest airport is Fortaleza, transfer time is approximately 4-5 hrs (public and private transfers available).

Combining comfort and simplicity so very intimate, Vila Kalango was built with materials typical of the region as mud-brick walls, wood floors and thatched roofs muiracatiara carnauba, all designed to optimize natural ventilation and illustrate the local culture.
Focused on sustainability and preservation of the environment, the hostel practicing selective collection, takes care of the disposal of garbage it produces and uses organic and biodegradable materials.

Accomodation

The pousada offers different type of rooms, each with unique flair. All units are equipped with ceiling fans and minibar. The standard and comfort rooms offer air condition and solar powered showers.
Standard rooms: Located on the first floor with garden views. These spacious 30m² rooms are equipped with AC, minibar, solar powered shower, king size bed, mosquito net and a hammock at the veranda. This room type accommodates up to 3 people.
Comfort rooms: Located on the first floor with garden view. These rooms are larger than the standard rooms, 45m², divided into 2 areas. Each unit can accommodate up to 4 people.
Bungalows: Located in the garden. Similar to the standard rooms in size, with wooden floors for natural ventilation. The bungalows can accommodate up to 3 people.
Palafitas: Stilt houses with a 180° view (sand dune or sea view) built on 3m high Eucalyptus pillars. They are also equipped with ceiling fans, minibar, king size bed, mosquito nets and a hammock at the veranda. This room type accommodates 2 people.
Comfort palafitas: Similar to the palafitas but larger in size, 45m². They offer 2 verandas with sea and sand dune view and accommodate up to 4 people.

Stilt Houses: 07 stilt houses with 180º view. Very spacious with 28m², they accommodate up to 02 persons and are divided in three different locations: dune´s view, sea view and stilt house on the ground.
Comfort: 02 Comfort stilt houses with two balconies, one with dune's view and the other with sea's view. Very spacious with 45m², they accommodate up to 04 persons.

This comfortable, charming pousada belongs to one of Brazil’s best accommodations. The hotel features one restaurant (Brazilian cuisine with Mediterranean influence), swimming pool bar, restaurant bar, lounge with hammocks, sofas and a variety of games, cable TV room, internet café, secure wind- and kite equipment storage, a beauty parlour with massages and salt baths and in the midst of it a 19m swimming pool, surrounded by a wooden deck, with spectacular views of the beach and the sand dune.
