The Dunkerbeck Pro Center is a windsurf school founded by Bjorn Dunkerbeck, Philippe Bru and Sorobon Beach Resort. Here you can find the most perfect windsurfing conditions: shallow crystal waters mean no wetsuit and the constant ocean winds of an average of 20 knots give the opportunity to windsurf at any time. The guests of Sorobon Beach Resort are encouraged to go windsurfing whenever they please, the middle of the night, or during breaking dawn. The equipment for rent is selected from the very best windsurf brands in the world. You can choose from Starboard and Goya boards and Goya and Simmerstyle sails. The equipment is divided by experience level: entry, premium and professional.

Following the latest trends of windsurfing, you can try windfoiling with top-quality Starboard foils! The teachers are professionals in their field and the guests can choose to take beginner or advanced lessons, depending on what they would like to learn!

Semi Private lessons are 2-1 with an instructor, meaning steady progression. The lessons include all equipment and are designed to take you to the next level with your Windsurfing. Lessons are normally in 2 - 3-hour sessions, but dependent on local conditions.  

Note:

Semi-private lessons are offered with a maximum of two people and ensure fast progression. Your course includes board, sail, wetsuit, life jacket and insurance.

We will schedule your course to start on your first full day, but you must remain available to the school to work around local wind and sea conditions, as well as instructor availability.

Daily rental of Goya boards, rig and sails. Most centres will 'fix' your ideal board size to ensure availability, but you have access to all available equipment. It is important to pre-book your windsurf rental as part of your holiday to be sure of availability, especially in over the high season periods.

  • Rental can only be used on consecutive days.
  • In the case of no wind, most centers will allow you to use other sports equipment, such as: SUP and Surfboards.
  • Please note that local prices can be significantly more expensive than pre-booked prices.
  • Damage Insurance is not included and should be paid locally

    • For windsurf rental of equipment, you may be required to produce a VDWS/IKO/RYA or equivalent licence to prove your ability to rent (For Egypt this is mandatory, and if unable to provide you will need to do a skills test and pay for a licence locally)
