The windsurf centre has a unique cosy atmosphere and is run efficiently, with the latest JP Boards and Neil Pryde Sails. It lies in the middle of a beautiful sandy bay, lined with trees. Even in the high season the waters are un-crowded, as it is set away from mass tourism. Non-windsurfers can equally enjoy the friendly atmosphere and the wind-protected and tree shaded area around the station. Although off the beaten track the centre does still offer electricity, water supply, beach shower, sun beds, volleyball, drinks, evening entertainment and party’s….

The bay is enclosed; therefore there is no chance of you drifting off shore. However guests are still advised not to windsurf out further than 1.5 km. The centre has great safety system and there is always a member of the crew on Baywatch duty. A powerful motorboat and Jet Ski are available, in the case of an emergency.

INSTRUCTION PROGRAMME - The perfect flat-water conditions create the ideal place to learn new moves, easily. Guests are also supported with video analysis and a professional and experienced surf teaching team. Hannes has the C-licence from VÖWS, plus many years of experience with beginners and intermediates.

The windsurf centre offer everything from beginners and special step courses to individual surf move training – a diverse course programme. Beginner’s course will take place on specialised beginner’s equipment and a maximum of 5 people in any session.

Step course (3 hours practise and 1 hour theory) stretches over 2-3 days, what you learn can then be furthered during your individual surfing time. The theory is brought-in between the practice courses.

Spend as much time as possible having fun on the water with daily unlimited equipment rental. This includes boards, sails, harness and wetsuit. Most centres will 'fix' your ideal board size to ensure availability, but you have access to all available equipment. It is important to pre-book your windsurf rental as part of your holiday to be sure of availability, especially in over the high season periods.

Note:

  • Please make a note of your ideal board size and style in the 'notes' section.
  • Rental can only be used on consecutive days.
  • In the case of no wind, most centers will allow you to use other sports equipment, such as: SUP and Surf boards.
  • Please note that local prices can be significantly more expensive than pre-booked prices.
  • Damage Insurance is not included and should be paid locally 

    For windsurf rental of equipment, you may be required to produce a VDWS/IKO/RYA or equivalent licence to prove your ability to rent (For Egypt this is mandatory, and if unable to provide you will need to do a skills test and pay for a licence locally)
