The building that is now Citta dei Nicliani was designated as an Ancient Monument under the 5th Ephorate of Byzantine Antiquities. Located in the Upper Koita it is a tower, which was initially built in the mid-18th century (1750). A unique setting that combines authenticity and proximity: this is Citta dei Nicliani. One of the most beautiful locations in Mani Peninsula, facing directly onto Olive tree plantings, where Mount Taygetus ends in the sea. A strategic location at the heart of Mani Peninsula, just two hour’s drive from Kalamata and its airport.
All room types at the Citta dei Nicliani features engravings and stonewalls. The rooms feature bedding linen by Guy Laroche, WiFi, Air Conditioning and a 32-inch flat-screen Satellite TV. Room types Timeless and Grande are split in two levels. All of the rooms come fitted with terracotta tiled or wooden floors. One Character room and one Timeless have their own separate private terrace, which has fossil tiled floor.
The dining experience at Citta dei Nicliani is traditional, authentic and astounding. Dinners are based on traditional recipes.
The region around the hotel is ideal for hiking with beautiful paths and canyons. You can also enjoy wine tasting either in the hotel or at the local wineries. Having more than a hundred Greek wines in the cellar, you can have the best experience. Olive oil harvesting, during certain months (late October-early December) is also arranged on a complimentary basis for guests.
