CEO STATEMENT – A Time For Change

A message from our CEO…

It’s been a pretty tough start to 2020 as a Tour Operator (as it has been for all of us in different ways), and we have had a lot of ups and downs in the last couple of months, it’s been quite frightening!

Without doubt, one of the main things seeing us through such difficult times is the patience, understanding and support of our amazing clients; a massive thanks to all of you. We have also seen the importance of the close relationships we have with our partners around the world. This has been instrumental in our ability to provide flexible solutions for our clients, whilst supporting each other’s businesses.

Looking ahead we see a great opportunity for change and improvement. There is no doubt that we are going to come out the other side of this in a different world with different priorities.

Like many around the world, this crisis has given us pause for thought and time to reflect on those things that are really important to us.

We rely on the ocean and international travel to feed our passion (even obsession) so we can discover the most amazing locations on the Planet to do our sport.

But it seems more and more that these two elements are in conflict with one another. We believe in the balance of making the right choices as a business, and giving our clients the detail they need to make theirs. To this end, we are changing the way we do business inside and out.

In the coming months, we are going to be introducing a raft of new and exciting tools, so you guys can make the best decision around how you want to travel, and where you want to stay.

Planet Travel is approaching its 20 year anniversary in January 2021. Leading up to this we have set ourselves some ambitious goals, accelerating our plan to not only be a world leader in ocean sport travel, but a more responsible one. We acknowledge the weight of responsibility to provide travel to our ocean playground in a more sustainable manner by working more closely with those business partners that share the same priorities.

We are itching for the day when we can again dip our toes in the sand and immerse ourselves in the blue, but until then, dreaming of amazing future travel plans will have to do.
