Located within this forest you will find the newly built Chalets Chamarel and its eleven cottages that are located in the middle of nature with the best views on the island.

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A MINIMUM AGE OF 15 YEARS IN THIS ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation At Chalets Chamarel

At Chalets Chamarel you will find 11 brand new cottages, all boasting stunning panoramic views of the island of Mauritius. There are nine one bedroom chalets for up to 2 people and just two chalets suites with 1 bedroom and separate lounge that can take up to 2 adults and 1 child under the age of 15. Each cottage has a small self-contained kitchen, a spacious bathroom, and two private terraces so you can take in the 360-degree views of the ocean, lagoon and forest.

Facilities And Activities

Recently opened to the public, this beautiful old hunting estate is well preserved, still housing beautiful patches of forests, including magnificent ebony trees which are over 300 years old. During your stay at Chalets Chamarel you can discover the area at your own pace on the prepared trails or under the guidance of a specialised guide who will introduce you to the several varieties of endemic trees and rare birds.

Another way to immerse yourself in the heart of this Mauritian protected nature is to practice archery on 3D targets. Fans of adventure can also opt for a 260-meter-long zip-line over a canyon, followed by a rather nerve-racking bridge walk of more than 200 meters over the forest and waterfalls.

The 360 ° restaurant at Chalets Chamarel is located at the top of the mountain in the heart of nature. It is here where fresh meals are prepared using local products sourced from the domain of Lavilleon! Local specialties include palm heart salad, freshly-caught seafood, delicious local deer and a variety of curried options. A beautiful rim flow pool is also available for guests to use.
