WINDSURFING HOLIDAYS WORLDWIDE

Expressed my concerns for travelling to Egypt in a time of unrest, Planet Windsurf reassured me to travel would be safe. Found the only evidence of the current political situation was to be found on CNN and had no problems in Egypt at all. The Hilton Dahab as most will agree is showing its age in certain areas -Egyptian maintenance to blame! I would like a room above standard level next time. The centre is very good in all respects - right on the beach with conditions to suit every level.

Dahab Bay suited us very well and is good for novice windsurfers. The windsurf operation was well run with no problems. The native English instructors were a plus.

The staff at Planet Windsurf are very competent and answered all my questions. The accommodation was excellent and the service from the staff at the Hilton Dahab was brilliant, however, the standard of the food was not that good. I felt that the food options offered in the all-inclusive package were very limited, especially at the Beach Bar, and the food in the evening was not of a particularly high quality.

The wind conditions were not always ideal, my children and I did not get good use of our pre-booked board hire. We would have been better to have booked boards locally and paid only for the days used. Planet Windsurf did give us a voucher valid for 2 years for 8 days free board hire as my eldest son was unwell and not able to windsurf at all but for myself and the other 2 boys, we definitely overpaid. Despite this, we would definitely recommend the hotel and probably use it again ourselves. The location is fabulous and the beach and bay fantastic. My only comment is that conditions can be difficult for intermediate sailors as the bay is very gusty and water can be choppy. The windsurf centre had great equipment and the staff were always happy to help and entertain. Hope to go back soon!

The staff at Planet Windsurf were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Everyone at the windsurf centre were superb. I had the best possible welcome and it was a joy to be around the centre every day. I always felt included and part of the 'family'. The staff were always there, cheerfully helping with my kit and coming to check on me out on the water. I had the very best windsurfing instructor there is and he got me water starting as easily as walking! I will be back!
