From mid-November through early March Baja's famous "El Norte" winds sweep the Sea of Cortez attracting windsurfers and kitesurfers from around the world, with ideal sailing conditions for advanced and intermediate sailors. Los Barriles will show you the very best of Mexico, with specialties like sushi and sashimi on your plate within two hours of being caught. Some of the most beautiful and exhilarating mountain biking in the mountains. Deep sea fishing, Kayaking, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, and loads more.
Baja’s “El Norte” winds blow down the Sea of Cortez from November to March providing some of the best bump and jump conditions this side of the equator. Friendly morning breezes are perfect for longboarding, while stronger winds will typically kick in around mid-day. Conditions are ideal for intermediate through expert sailors. People should generally be able to waterstart, or be ready to learn. A novice can sail on light-wind mornings or low wind days. With winds above 18 mph, a widely spaced, rolling swell provides great ramps for jumping, whilst the mornings are usually flat.
There is no end to the fun things to do in Baja. Mountain bike along coastal and scenic desert single-track trails. Glide along clear blue waters in a sea kayak. Snorkel among colorful tropical fish. Activities below are all part of a holiday to Loss Barriles, provided by the centre. These include a range of endeavors from hikes in the coastal moutain ranges, snorkeling trips to Punta Pescadero, surfing/boogieboarding trips to the Pacific side, shopping trips to San Jose del Cabo. You never know what's next in Los Barrlies...but you're never bored! Video nights: Windsurfing Videos and other films will be shown during the week. There are loads of activities for kids and families as you can see from the activities section. Los Barriles is in a fairly secluded area, though the extent of activities does make this a good family option. Kids camps are also run by the centre at peak times, which will introduce kids to a variety of watersports, and make sure they have an awesome time. Please check with us for weeks that the kids camps are arranged.
The nightlife is Los Barriles is definitely livelier if you like your tequila! Other wise they are pretty mellow, with an emphasis on chilling out round the bar, watching videos, and movies of the day, and talking about your day on the water, with guests form around the world.
