Zante Windsurfing Holidays

Zakynthos is one of the most stunning Greek Islands, often referred to as the ‘Green Island Of Poetry, Of Song and Love’. Our resort is in the North of the island as far away for the larger resorts of the East and South of the island asis physically possible. Here you can get away from it all but you still have the option of the Club facilities. Whilst extremely popular with families and their teenagers in July and August, The Club is increasingly popular with couples or groups of friends looking to relax and let their hair down outside of the school- holidays.

There are fewer beaches in this area and most of them are pebbles rather than sand. Tourists don’t make it up there save a few of the braver travellers who come to visit the famous Blue caves and Shipwreck beach from the little harbour nearby.

The area is sparsely developed with only a few local Tavernas and Villas dotted around the hillside.

The Club is a collection of honey coloured buildings perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking Kephalonia, on the beautiful unspoilt north-eastern tip of Zakynthos, a short 3 hour flight from the UK. The Club operates as the centre point for the community, with its restaurant, bar and watersports facilities. 

Nearby is the small and picturesque fishing port of Anghios Nicolas, which has a shingle beach and friendly bars and taverns. Wooden decks have been built into the rocks and are kitted out with umbrellas and sun beds so guests can establish a base camp at a vantage point for watching the watersports action.

The Windsurfing spot is approached via a winding stone path through colourful gardens and the watersports operate from a ramshackle bamboo hut on the "beach" known as the "Love Shack, this is where you will find all our sailing and windsurfing kit and our friendly beach team. They operate with great efficiency (and even greater smiles) carrying equipment, manning the lookout, driving safety boats and they also provide one to one instruction. They even provide a taxi service to your craft so you don’t have to get wet!!

The afternoon's strong consistent winds are perfect for sailing and windsurfing, whilst the light winds and calm sea in the mornings are ideal for waterskiing, wakeboarding and the more timid sailors. We have a first come first serve system, there is no need to book either boats or instructors, just turn up and go.

There are steps down into the sea from the rocks, a diving board and a 25-metre swim away is a floating platform for sunbathing, chilling and diving.

The Club has a couple of party nights a week which are great fun. As far as things to do outside of the Club, a short walk away is the Mahogany art bar aka “Sophia’s” which has a Latino vibe, great music and a bohemian atmosphere.

If it’s traditional Greece you are after visit the nearby harbour of Aghios Nikolaos and sit at the water’s edge next to colourful, bobbing fishing boats in a simple Greek taverna. 

There are many great local restaurants so we strongly recommend you hire a car even if you are within walking distance of The Club, to get a taste of traditional Greek lifestyle and cuisine
